Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor awards 7 "Union Shelters" to union members

On September 9, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) said that on September 8, the unit held a ceremony to present 7 Union Shelters to union members with difficult housing circumstances. The event responded to the peak emulation campaign "30 days towards the Dong Thap Provincial Party Congress" launched by the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.

According to the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor, union members were awarded the Union Shelter, including: Mr. and Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi - union member of An Thanh Kindergarten; Bui Van Ho - union member of An Binh B Ward Union; Ho Van A - union member of An Binh B Ward Union; Le Van Nhan - union member of Thieu Long Khanh B1 School Union; Nguyen Huu Giau - union member of Thuong Lac 2 Primary School Union; Nguyen Thi Tuyet - union member of the Fatherland Front Union of Hong Ngu District; Nguyen Thanh Tien - union member of the Hong Ngu 2 Regional Medical Center Union.

Each house has an area of 48 to 75 m2, worth from 145 to 240 million VND, of which the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund - Dong Thap Branch supports 60 million VND/house, the rest is contributed by family and relatives.

At the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that the Trade Union Shelter program is one of the key activities of the Trade Union organization, with practical significance in supporting union members with difficult housing circumstances, helping workers feel secure in settling down, thereby stabilizing their lives, working and producing with the Trade Union organization.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor stated that this is a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, within the Project of 100 Trade Union Shelters in 2025 launched by the Provincial Federation of Labor, towards the 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, contributing to the locality in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.

Moved by the day of receiving the new house, the union members who were supported expressed their deep gratitude to the union organization and the units that have accompanied them. Compact houses not only help families have a stable place to live but also give them more motivation to work and take better care of their children.

Supporting the construction of the Trade Union Shelter continues to affirm the role of accompanying and practically caring for workers, thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of affection and humanity for union members and workers with housing difficulties.
