The 7th Congress of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031, will be held in the first quarter of 2026

On September 9, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union (DLVN Trade Union) said that the Standing Committee of DLVN Trade Union issued a Plan to organize trade union congresses at all levels towards the 7th Congress of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031.

According to Mr. Do Duc Hung, trade union congresses at all levels marked a fundamental change in the organizational model in the new era; promptly concretized the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws, and the directions and resolutions of the EVN Group Party Committee into the union congress resolution.

Trade union congresses at all levels are an important political activity for union members and workers in the entire Group, with the motto: Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development.

Trade union congresses at all levels are responsible for summarizing and evaluating the implementation of resolutions of their trade union congresses in the past term, proposing directions for the new term's activities; giving comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; electing the new term Executive Committee of the trade union; electing delegations to attend the higher-level trade union congress (if any).

According to the plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, for units that do not implement the arrangement of organizations, apparatus, merger, and consolidation (maintain), trade union congresses at all levels will implement the following main contents:

Discuss and approve the summary report on trade union activities in the past term; decide on targets, directions, tasks and solutions for the next term.

Participating in giving opinions on draft documents for higher-level trade union congresses; synthesizing recommendations from union members and workers on issues related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers and trade union activities.

contribution to amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Elected the new term of the Trade Union Executive Committee and key positions; elected delegates to attend the higher-level trade union congress.

For units implementing organizational arrangement, apparatus, merger, consolidation (new establishment), trade union congresses at all levels shall implement the following main contents:

Discuss and approve the summary report on trade union activities in the past term; decide on targets, directions, tasks and solutions for the next term.

Participating in giving opinions on draft documents for higher-level trade union congresses; synthesizing recommendations from union members and workers on issues related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers and trade union activities.

contribution to amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Announce the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of the trade union (if any) for the new term and key positions; decide to appoint delegates to attend the higher-level trade union congress (if any).

The 7th Congress of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031, will discuss and approve the report of the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union to the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union; decide on targets, directions, tasks and solutions for the 2026 - 2031 term.

Participating in giving opinions on the draft documents of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; synthesizing recommendations from union members and workers in the Vietnam Electricity Group on issues related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, workers and trade union activities.

contribution to amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.

Elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term VII, 2026 - 2031 and key positions; elected delegates to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The Corporation's Trade Union Congress and the grassroots trade union congress for the 2025-2030 term will be completed before December 31, 2025.

The 7th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026 - 2021, will be held in the first quarter of 2026 (expected at the end of March 2026); the congress time shall not exceed 2 sessions.
