President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that the commendation conference is a practical activity to celebrate the 95th Spring of our Party accompanying the nation; affirming the role and responsibility of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union in participating in building the Party, with one heart and one heart, steadfastly moving under the glorious flag of the Party.

According to comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, in 95 years of implementing the mission and leadership role of the Vietnamese revolution, our Party has always attached importance to and paid attention to Party building and organization, in which the work of developing Party members and improving the quality of Party members is a top priority. Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW, dated January 28, 2008 of the Party Central Committee on "Continuing to build the Vietnamese working class in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country" stipulates: " Pay more attention to the work of training and developing the Party among workers... Gradually increase the rate of cadres coming from workers in the leadership apparatus at all levels". Resolution No. 21-NQ/TW, dated June 16, 2022, of the Party Central Committee on "Strengthening and building grassroots party organizations and improving the quality of party members in the new period" affirmed the viewpoint: attach importance to the quality of developing party members, pay attention to developing party members among youth union members and trade unions...".

Bright examples for union members and workers nationwide to learn from

The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that the work of developing party members in general and party members among workers in particular has been specified in the Resolutions of the Congress and annual tasks of trade unions at all levels. Recent terms of the Vietnam Trade Union Congress have set the target: "On average, each grassroots trade union annually introduces at least 1 outstanding union member to the Party organization for training and admission consideration".

Implementing the Resolution, in the 2018-2023 period, trade unions at all levels have introduced over 700,000 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of training and admission, of which the number of outstanding union members admitted reached nearly 400,000 comrades (an increase of 1.4 times compared to the 2013-2018 term). In 2024 alone, the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, trade unions at all levels introduced 158,813 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of training and admission, of which 80,327 outstanding union members were admitted to the Party; Party members who are workers account for nearly 10%.

In order to honor outstanding workers who are Party members with many achievements in labor, production, training, striving, and actively contributing to Party building and building a strong Trade Union organization, thereby affirming the role and responsibility of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in participating in building the Party and the political system, the Party Committee and the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized the first ceremony to honor 95 outstanding workers who are Party members of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The program encourages workers nationwide to strive to become party members, firmly believe in advancing under the glorious flag of the Party, and further promotes the attention of Party committees and organizations in leading and directing the development of party members among workers.

According to Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang, 95 outstanding workers who are honored today were carefully and closely selected through many rounds and levels; present in most industries, localities and at many types of enterprises. Of which, workers' party members in state-owned enterprises account for 50.5%, non-state enterprises account for 49.5%; male delegates account for 73.68%, female delegates account for 26.32%. The average party age of delegates is 12 years, the oldest is 60, the youngest is 31 years old.

95 typical examples are commended as direct, dynamic, creative production workers, with many technical innovation initiatives, with noble ideals, constantly practicing ethics - style, being exemplary in all fields, being trusted by the public and loved by colleagues. The results and experiences gained from this Conference of Commendation, especially the opinions of delegates from the Forum "S struggling to be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam" organized by the Central Organizing Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, have added confidence and motivation for trade unions at all levels to continue to do better in education, training, fostering, and introducing union members to the Party to consider admitting and creating an environment for Party members who are workers to practice, strive, contribute and mature.
