In April 1931, the comrade was arrested by the French colonialists in Vinh. Despite being tortured in many forms, the comrade resolutely refused to confess. On July 31, 1932, the comrade was executed by the French colonialists at the Hai Phong prison - a place later built as a memorial to the comrade.
