Lao Dong Newspaper - Aiming for responsibility and pioneering in propagating the Party Congress

The library on the 8th floor of the headquarters of Lao Dong Newspaper (Hanoi) still preserves valuable printed newspapers from decades ago.

On the issue of Lao Dong Sunday newspaper published on June 30, 1991, Lao Dong Newspaper devoted most of the newspapers to promoting the strong end of the 7th National Party Congress.

The articles attracted much attention with titles such as "What workers and trade unions can do to turn the Resolution of the Party Congress into reality"; or as the article titled "The 7th National Party Congress: Full responsibility at a turning point".

At the 8th Congress, the front page of Lao Dong newspaper published on July 4, 1996 devoted half a page to reporting on the success of this Congress.

On page 2 of the newspaper, there is an article "Congratulations to the 8th Congress for its great success". The content of the article clearly states that during the Congress, all classes of people always carefully follow and agree to respond to the content of important documents passed by the Congress.

The article quoted worker Dinh Phuc Luong (worker at Tran Hung Dao Mechanical Factory, Hanoi) expressing that many other workers of the Factory always agree and respond to the target program set by the Party in the document for the mechanical industry.

"We place our trust in the leadership and management of the Party and the State" - worker Dinh Phuc Luong shared.

Not only domestic news, Lao Dong Newspaper also strongly promoted the opinions of international delegates and leaders. Among the newspapers 79/96 published Tuesday on July 2, 1996 reflected many opinions of international delegates attending the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Typically, Comrade Li Bang - Head of the Delegation of the Communist Party of China - commented that the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is an important Congress that inherits and continues to look towards the future in the history of building socialism in Vietnam.

We deeply believe that, under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, all Party members and people of Vietnam, according to the motto set by the 8th National Congress, will continue to promote the cause of comprehensive innovation, and will definitely bring the socialist country of Vietnam to stability and prosperity in the 21st century, realizing its development goals - said comrade Ly Bang.

The article also quoted comrade Bindiucov N.G - Head of the Delegation of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. He said: "We consider attending the Congress of Communists of Vietnam as a continuation of developing the good relationship between the two brotherly parties...".

Lao Dong Newspaper also quoted comrade H.R.B Cabrera - Head of the Cuban Communist Party Delegation as saying that the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam this time will discuss and propose important directions and tasks to make Vietnam a country with an industrialized and modernized economy.
