The 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031, opened on the morning of June 4th
On the morning of June 4, the opening ceremony of the XIV Vietnam Trade Union Congress for the term 2026 - 2031 was held at the National Convention Center (Hanoi).
8:34 AM: Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor delivered the opening speech of the Congress and summarized the Political Report submitted to the Congress.
8:25 AM: Leaders, delegates and the entire Congress held a flag salute ceremony.

The 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031 (Congress) is an important political event of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization. The Congress was attended by 780 outstanding delegates, representing the will, aspirations and intelligence of nearly 10 million trade union members nationwide. These are typical trade union officials and members representing industries, fields, localities, and units nationwide.
With the motto: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress has the task of summarizing and evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th Vietnam Trade Union Congress in the period 2023 - 2026; reviewing the activities of the Executive Committee of the 13th Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; determining goals, tasks and breakthroughs for the 2026 - 2031 term; amending the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, and at the same time electing the Executive Committee of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to lead trade union activities in the new term.
The opening ceremony of the Congress was attended by Party and State leaders, broadcast live on VTV1 channel, Vietnam Television; broadcast live on VOV1 channel, Voice of Vietnam Radio and broadcast online on digital platforms of the Vietnam Trade Union, Lao Dong Newspaper...
