Vinh Loi Commune Union, Ca Mau Strives to Admit 300 Union Members

The Congress was attended by Comrade Huynh Ut Muoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor, leaders of Vinh Loi commune, 80 delegates representing more than 3,300 union members attending the 1st Congress of the Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030.

Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union currently has 27 grassroots trade unions and unions with more than 3,300 union members, mainly non-state enterprises and public service units located in Vinh Loi, Chau Thoi, Hoa Binh communes, Vinh Trach ward, Hiep Thanh ward.

The report of the Executive Committee of the Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union acknowledged: a part of workers' income is not stable, they still work seasonally, especially in the seafood processing industry, and are not eligible for admission to the Trade Union, so their rights are not fully protected; some enterprises have not fully paid social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance to workers; have not equipped with conditions for ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, fire prevention, and fighting, and labor protection; have not paid union fees and union union fees according to regulations...

The Congress also set a term goal of building a strong Trade Union organization, performing well its functions and tasks in the new situation, and being the socio-political basis of the Party and State; playing a bridging role, maintaining close links between the Party and State with the working class and laborers; contributing to building a modern and strong working class, a pioneering force in implementing the task of socio-economic development of the country.

Striving to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union by the end of the term, affirming the position of the Vietnam Trade Union as a gathering and unity center for the working class and laborers, making a worthy contribution to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The Congress set out 11 targets to strive for, notably: developing 300 new union members in the 2025 - 2030 period; at least 90% of workers working in non-state units, organizations, and enterprises with grassroots trade unions are union members;...

At the Congress, the Executive Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union, consisting of 15 comrades. Comrade Ngo Viet Trung was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Vinh Loi Commune Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030; appointed 10 official delegates to attend the Ca Mau Provincial Trade Union Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Ca Mau Labor Federation Huynh Ut Muoi requested the Executive Committee of the Vinh Loi Commune Labor Union to properly implement the Resolution passed by the Congress.
