Vinh Long Labor Union accompanies workers in the integration period

Over the past 5 years, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) has made a clear mark in caring for, protecting union members' rights and promoting local socio-economic development.

Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Phuc Linh said that in recent times, the Provincial Federation of Labor has focused on innovating trade union activities, closely approaching the grassroots, ensuring practical rights for workers.

With many outstanding programs such as the "Back to Workers" program (2022-2025) has spent more than 10 billion VND, supporting 98 union members to escape poverty and 2 near-poor households, raising the poverty reduction rate to 17.3%. This is a testament to the efforts to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members in difficult circumstances

The "Union Meal" program, Tet gifts, for union members in difficult circumstances, combines cultural and sports activities to improve spiritual life. The "Happy Tan Ca" program helps workers relieve stress after work, improve health, connect union members and create a vibrant and joyful working atmosphere.

The Provincial Federation of Labor has established many grassroots unions in non-state enterprises with 720 grassroots unions and trade unions with more than 172,755 union members.

Organize training and consultation sessions on social insurance and health insurance, ensuring that employees clearly understand their rights and obligations. Linking with the government and businesses to implement vocational skills improvement programs, creating stable job opportunities for workers.

Deploy many activities to support union members to start up and create, from capital, consulting to connecting the market. The movement "Union accompanies businesses" is promoted, improving labor productivity, improving working conditions and contributing to sustainable development for businesses.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor said that in the coming time, the Provincial Trade Union will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on workers.

The trade union not only cares about their immediate lives but also accompanies them in the long term, especially in the context of integration, digital transformation and sustainable development.

According to Mr. Linh, one of the key tasks is to improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities, train cadres with courage and in practice; expand union member welfare, speed up trade union institutions and workers' housing.
