HOÀNG LỘC (báo lao động) 14/08/2025 14:32 (GMT+7)

Vinh Long - The Provincial Federation of Labor organized the handover of Trade Union Shelters to union members and workers with housing difficulties, contributing to helping them stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind.

From the beginning of August 2025 to now, the Provincial Federation of Labor has donated 8 houses to union members in many localities. The total cost of each house is from 75 - 150 million VND, of which the Trade Union Shelter Fund supports 50 million VND/house, the rest is contributed by family and relatives.

Mr. Ngo Van Tho - a union member of My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited - said that his family used to live in a dilapidated, leaky house during heavy rains. Nay received a spacious house, I was very happy and grateful. Now my family has a stable place to live and feel secure in sticking with work," Mr. Tho added.

Ms. Son Thi Sa Ron - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Trade Union of Vinh Long province - emotionally said that this support came very promptly, helping her family have a solid place to live and reduce difficulties in life.

At each house giving place, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor and union representatives kindly visited, learned about the family situation, encouraged the spirit and congratulated the joy of having a new home.

The wishes and gifts given directly to the families not only give them more motivation to overcome difficulties, but also demonstrate the affection and deep concern of the union organization.

According to the plan, the remaining 33 houses will be donated by the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor in September 2025, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. This is one of the key activities to practically care for the lives of union members and workers in the area.
