Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union spreads model of environmental protection in residential areas
Lam Dong - Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union deploys a model of trade unions participating in environmental protection in residential areas, contributing to building a civilized city.
Responding to the movement "Building a civilized city", the Trade Union of Binh Thuan Ward, Lam Dong province has built and implemented the model "Trade Union participates in protecting the clean environment in residential areas" for the period 2025-2030.
This is an activity to concretize the role of trade union organizations in participating in community movements, towards the goal of building a green - clean - beautiful, sustainable living environment.

Right from the deployment, the model has created a vibrant emulation atmosphere among union members and workers and received positive responses from people in the area.
Through practical activities, the awareness and responsibility of the community in preserving the common living environment are gradually being raised and changed from small daily actions.
Especially during Tet and Spring, the Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union launched grassroots trade unions in Phan Thiet Industrial Park to join hands in cleaning up the environment in the area and roads and residential areas in the ward. The activity not only contributes to cleaning up the landscape but also creates a connection between trade union members and residents.

In Binh Thuan ward, many neighborhoods used to have "black spots" of waste. From that reality, the ward trade union has proactively surveyed and coordinated with neighborhoods to support garbage bins placed in suitable and convenient locations for people to dispose of garbage in the right places.
Ms. Le Huynh Thi Hoa Phuong - Chairwoman of Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union said: The "Trade Union participates in protecting the clean environment in residential areas" model is one of the practical activities that the trade union organization aims for the community in the period 2025-2030.
Through this activity, the ward trade union hopes that each union member and worker will be a propagandist, together spreading awareness of preserving the living environment from the smallest actions. Thereby, raising people's awareness in protecting the environment and building a civilized and urban lifestyle.
In parallel with supporting facilities, the Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union also coordinates with residential areas to regularly maintain environmental sanitation sessions, collect waste, clear bushes, and participate in planting trees on roads and public grounds. From cleaner roads, trash cans placed in the right places, community awareness is gradually forming and spreading.

People in neighborhoods also recorded positive changes from this model. Ms. Ha Thi Tam - a resident of neighborhood 2 - shared that recently, from activities regularly implemented by local authorities and trade unions, business households and people have proactively reminded each other to maintain hygiene, considering environmental protection as a common responsibility of the community.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, the model of Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union is practical and creative, contributing to concretizing the role of trade union organizations in building urban landscapes, associated with emulation movements for good labor and creative labor.
From the initial effectiveness, this model is becoming a basis for grassroots and local trade unions to refer to, research and replicate, contributing to building civilized residential areas, a safe and sustainable living environment in the coming time.
