Dong Nai Trade Union focuses on caring for and protecting workers
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong suggested that Dong Nai Trade Union care for and protect workers, especially in the issue of wages, bonuses, etc.
On December 30, the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, held an official session with the participation of 360 delegates representing nearly 742,000 union members.
Attending the congress were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Do Hong Van, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. On the side of Dong Nai province, there were Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ms. Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Ha Anh Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
At the Congress, Ms. Do Hong Van, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, announced the decisions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the appointment of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman; Inspection Committee, Chairman, Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, term I, 2025 - 2030.
Accordingly, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, term I, 2025 - 2030, includes 44 members of the Executive Committee. Of which, there are 12 members of the Standing Committee. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung was appointed to continue as Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor and 4 Vice Chairmen of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, including: Ms. Bui Thi Bich Thuy, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thang, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Mr. Dao Minh Tan.
The Inspection Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor consists of 14 members, Mr. Dao Minh Tan is the Chairman of the Inspection Committee.
At the Congress, the Representative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also announced the decision to appoint 31 official delegates and 9 alternate delegates of the Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union to attend the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, acknowledged and commended and congratulated the results and achievements of the trade unions at all levels of Dong Nai province in the period of 2023-2025, contributing significantly to the overall achievements of trade union activities nationwide.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong suggested that in the coming term, Dong Nai Trade Union should continue to focus on performing well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, especially the issues of: salary, bonus, working hours, rest and working environment, occupational safety and hygiene, health care for union members and workers, especially female workers; Strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws on labor, trade unions, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, etc.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong suggested that Dong Nai Trade Union improve the quality of programs and models of caring for the interests of union members that have been and are being effectively promoted such as the Union Meal, Workers' Month, Tet Sum Vay, Trade Union Shelter; Focus on building advanced models, promoting initiatives, technical improvements, emulation works; promote the discovery, selection, honoring, and replicating the most advanced typical example of direct production workers...
Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Nai province also suggested that Dong Nai Trade Union must innovate more strongly, act more decisively, and play a strong role as a bridge between the Party, the State and workers.
