Warmly serving 0 VND meals for children in Hanoi
Hanoi - For many years, the Love of Food Club has been regularly cooking and giving away free meals, contributing to sharing difficulties and spreading love in real life.
For many years, every Sunday afternoon, members of the Love of Food Club have regularly cooked free meals and given them to children and their families being treated at the National Children's Hospital (Hanoi).
The meals were prepared with the joint efforts of benefactors, with the desire to share some of the difficulties with the patients' families.
Present at the rice spillway, Mrs. Tran Thi Hai (Ninh Binh) and her son went to Hanoi for medical examination for more than a week. This is the first time the mother and child have received free meals from the club. The simple meals with eggs, meat, vegetables, milk but are full of nutrients, making the recipient unable to hide their emotions.
This is a very practical and warm work, adding motivation to families with children being treated for the disease. Meals like this bring a sense of sharing and love" - Ms. Hai shared.

The Love Rice Club was officially established in 2017. Currently, the Club has 21 core members, along with more than 2,000 volunteers and collaborators participating in each support period. Each week, the group distributes about 450 meals and 200 portions of porridge, focusing on serving families in difficult circumstances.
Currently, the Club is allowed to use the yard of a business near the gate of the National Children's Hospital as a rice distribution point. This activity has been maintained for many years, becoming familiar to families of children with autism. When it was time to eat, people lined up, giving priority to children first and adults later.
Sharing with Lao Dong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien - Head of the Love Rice Club group said that the motivation for forming the Club came from her personal experience when she took her child to the National Children's Hospital for treatment.
"During the long days waiting for the examination, I witnessed many families from far away provinces coming to Hanoi to treat their children, not having enough money to eat. Some people buy a portion of rice or porridge for their children, the rest, parents only dare to eat leftover spoons. A portion of porridge costs only a few thousand dong, but for many people it is also a problem" - Ms. Hien shared.
According to Ms. Hien, the group paid special attention to preparing meals for children. The menu is carefully crafted, nutritious, easy to digest and suitable for young children. Dishes are rotated between chicken, pork, beef, eggs; vegetables and fruits are all seasonal. In addition to the main meal, each portion of the rice also has canned milk for children.
All ingredients are carefully selected. Some people are in charge of making menus a few days in advance, others go to the market, choose fresh food. We do it responsibly and carefully, because the subjects of service are children being treated for the disease" - Ms. Hien said.

Sharing about the message that the club wants to spread, Ms. Hien said: "We do not expect anything big, we just hope that small meals can bring warmth, so that love reaches love. At that time, life will become more positive and better.
