The labor market improves after Tet
After the Lunar New Year holiday, the labor market nationwide quickly became vibrant again.
Recruitment demand increases after Tet
From the first days of 2025, the labor market has become active again with a strong increase in recruitment demand from businesses. In order to meet this need, the Hanoi Employment Service Center (DVVL) has coordinated with the DVVL Centers of 12 other provinces and cities to organize "Online job fair connecting 13 provinces and cities".
This event not only helps businesses quickly find suitable human resources but also creates job opportunities for many workers, especially those who need to change jobs or are recent graduates.

According to Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center, businesses in Hanoi are actively recruiting workers to supplement human resources to serve production and business from the beginning of the year. In particular, the fields of trade, services, manufacturing and construction have a large recruitment demand.
Ms. Luong Thu Hien, head of human resources at Ninsing Logistics Company Limited, said that the company is recruiting more than 200 positions, including more than 100 unskilled workers with a salary of 9-10 million VND/month.
"If employees stay long-term, the company will have a policy to support social insurance and other benefits," said Ms. Hien.
At the Hanoi demand point, there are 42 enterprises participating in the job fair with 2,634 recruitment targets; of which 32 enterprises are in the trade and service sector (accounting for 76.2%). Positions with high salaries from 15 million VND/month or more account for 17.6% of the total recruitment target. This is the income level for candidates with good professional qualifications, experience and high ability to endure work pressure.
Workers seek new opportunities
The job fair not only attracts businesses but is also a destination for many workers looking for suitable job opportunities. Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Employment Service Center, emphasized the proactiveness of businesses in recruiting workers from the beginning of the year.

Ms. Ta Thuy Ha (born in 1977, in Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) is in the process of finding a job after 23 years as a production manager at a Japanese company. Because the workplace moved to Hung Yen was too far away, Ms. Ha quit her job and is currently receiving unemployment benefits. During this time, she was advised and introduced to a new job by staff of the Hanoi Employment Service Center to return to the market soon.
On the morning of February 17, after searching for information about recruiting businesses in Hanoi from the online job fair connecting 13 provinces and cities, she found a business in Phu Xuyen district that needed to find a management position, but hoped to recruit male workers, so the door for her gradually closed. However, she is willing to consider equivalent positions if there is appropriate treatment.
Similarly, Mr. Bui Dang Tung, a telecommunications engineer with 16 years of experience at Viettel, is also looking for new job opportunities. At the age of 40, he decided to change jobs because he felt that his old job had become boring. He hopes to find a job with new challenges and better development opportunities, although he cannot help but worry about changes in middle age.
Final year student Vu Thi Lien (Financial Academy) also went to Hanoi Employment Service Center to look for a part-time job to accumulate experience before graduating. "In the immediate future, I want to learn from experience, work in groups and improve my foreign language and communication skills," Lien shared.

Synthesized from the online job fair, 221 businesses registered for recruitment with a total of 71,567 targets. Of which, Bac Giang is the locality with the highest recruitment demand with 36,342 targets, followed by Phu Tho (6,511 targets), Thai Nguyen (6,172 targets), Ninh Binh (5,086 targets), Nam Dinh (4,974 targets) and Hai Duong (4,223 targets).
Supporting workers and promoting job connectivity
The online job fair connecting 13 provinces and cities has created a big boost for the labor market after Tet. Notably, large enterprises such as Bac Giang Garment Joint Stock Company, Desay Battery Vina Company Limited, Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation, FPT Telecommunication Joint Stock Company, Thieu Dien Hang Company Limited... also participated in the trading session, creating more options for workers.

With online form, this GDVL Session is an event to help workers from far away access employers without having to travel a lot, saving costs and time.
Ms. Ngo Thi Nga, from Hai Duong, participated in an online interview at Luxshare ICT Company Limited, Quang Chau Industrial Park (Bac Giang) and said that she found the company's regime very good, and there were bonuses for workers who signed contracts and worked during this time, so she applied. The online job fair helps people from far away like her to participate in interviews without having to go to the location, reducing travel costs so it is very convenient.
With the support of Employment Service Centers and the positivity from businesses, the labor market in early 2025 promises to continue to flourish, bringing many stable and sustainable job opportunities to workers across the country.
