Commune police in Hung Yen propagate online crime prevention and control for workers
Hung Yen - Hung Ha Commune Police have just organized a propaganda campaign on preventing and combating cybercrime for workers at enterprises in the area.
The propaganda session at Hai Lam Import-Export Trading Company Limited and MHC Vina Shoe Company Limited attracted the participation of more than 550 officers, workers and laborers.
Accordingly, Hung Ha Commune Police have focused on conveying information that goes into the emerging methods and new sophisticated tricks used by scammers. The subjects often defraud the purchase and sale of cheap goods and services ( air tickets, travel...); defraud the standardization of personal information (moveback rental, VNeID, bank accounts, etc.) to request access or installation of malicious applications; impersonate agencies, organizations, individuals to recruit models, young players, brand representatives and then lure them to do online tasks; impersonate public authorities (police, prosecutor's office, court, customs);...
In addition to warning about sophisticated tricks, the police force also guides workers and laborers how to recognize unusual signs, how to handle when suspected of being scammed, as well as basic steps to protect personal information, social network accounts and bank accounts...
Through the propaganda session, workers and laborers are helped to raise their vigilance and protect themselves against risks from cyberspace.
