Vinh Long - The Provincial Federation of Labor handed over 6 Trade Union Shelters and organized a Mid-Autumn Festival for more than 1,000 disadvantaged children.
According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, from September 22 to 26, the Trade Unions at all levels have implemented many meaningful activities towards union members and workers. The highlight is the handover of 6 Trade Union Shelters and the organization of a Mid-Autumn Festival program for workers' children.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor organized a Full Moon Festival at 3 locations, bringing joy to 1,030 children of workers in difficult circumstances. Many grassroots unions also presented more than 37,000 gifts to union members' children.
Typically, the Trade Union of Ty Xuan Company Limited presented 11,962 gifts. 7 other grassroots trade unions also sent 24,329 gifts, with a total cost of over 3.1 billion VND, including funding from enterprises.
In parallel with taking care of life, the Provincial Federation of Labor focuses on strengthening the organization. Last week, 3 new grassroots unions were established and 43 more union members were admitted. Many inspection and supervision activities are also carried out at affiliated units.
In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor issued many important documents, assigning personnel tasks, and establishing working groups to serve the congress. At the same time, implementing guidelines for evaluating negotiations and signing Collective Labor Agreements.
