Launchment of the 10% - 50% discount union member welfare point for employees

1,000 union members and workers attended the launching ceremony of the "Union Member Welfare Point" in Binh Quoi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union College) organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on January 11.

Union members and workers participating in the program were each given a voucher worth 150,000 VND by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to buy items serving essential needs sold here at a price 10% - 50% discount compared to outside by Saigon Saigon Co.op Pharmaceutical Company Limited.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Kim Thuy - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that the development and launch of the "Union member welfare" point is one of the contents of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation to specify the implementation of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".

At the same time, implement Resolution No. 07/NQ dated August 29, 2024 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Focusing on taking care of the welfare of union members and workers in the new situation" and Resolution of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Through the "Union Member Welfare Point", workers have access to essential products and services produced in Vietnam, guaranteed quality at preferential prices of 10% - 50%, helping union members and workers save on living expenses, reduce difficulties, and improve the quality of life.

"Union member welfare point" is also where the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation's Legal Consulting Center disseminates laws, helping workers to protect their legitimate and legal rights and interests, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the city.

It is expected that on January 16, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will continue to open a second "Union Member Welfare Point" at PouYuen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Tao Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also organized a propaganda about labor laws for workers attending the opening ceremony and presented 10 gifts, worth 350,000 VND/gift to workers in difficult circumstances.

The launch of the "Union Member Welfare Point" is a project to celebrate the 14th National Party Congress and successfully celebrate the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
