3 breakthroughs, taking union members as the center
Chairman of the Hue City Labor Federation Le Minh Nhan said that the common goal in the new term is to build a strong and comprehensive Trade Union organization, truly becoming a reliable support for workers; focusing on the grassroots, taking union members as the center. Along with that, the Trade Union organization must innovate and be creative, meeting the development requirements of Hue City in the new period - a city oriented towards "green - smart - rich in identity".
According to Mr. Nhan, the Hue City Labor Federation sets a goal of developing at least 6,000 union members each year; propagating and disseminating the Party's policies and the State's laws and policies to at least 90% of union members and employees. The union also strives for about 70% of workers to study to improve their skills, 75% to be equipped with life skills; 65% of workers at enterprises to have disseminated knowledge about digital technology and at least 50% to achieve the title of "Citizen of Learning".
In building harmonious and stable labor relations, the Hue City Labor Federation aims to have at least 90% of enterprises with trade unions sign Collective Labor Agreements; 100% of grassroots trade unions implement grassroots democracy regulations; 70% of units organize periodic dialogues between employees and employers.
The work of building organizations continues to be focused on, with the goal of 80% of grassroots unions in public service units and 70% of non-state enterprise unions achieving good quality. Every year, the City Trade Union strives to introduce 150 - 200 outstanding union members to the Party for admission; 100% of union officials are trained and improved their professional skills.
"The three breakthroughs identified by the Hue City Labor Federation in the new term include: Promoting digital transformation in all union activities; focusing on developing union members, especially in non-state enterprises and the informal labor sector; enhancing dialogue and collective bargaining, prioritizing issues of wages, welfare, safety and hygiene at work," Mr. Nhan informed.
