Ninh Binh - Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor has just organized a fund-raising ceremony to support the construction of "Union Shelter" houses for union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the area.

On the days leading up to the Lunar New Year 2026, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor organized delegations to present support money to build "Union Shelter" houses for union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the province.

Ms. Doan Thi Xuan, born in 1999, a union member of Dream Plastic Ninh Binh Company Limited, is one of the cases with particularly difficult circumstances. She is a single mother, suffering from a serious illness, her family is a poor household in Chat Binh commune, Ninh Binh province.

For many years, the mother and daughter have had to stay in her parents' dilapidated level 4 house. Understanding the difficult circumstances of her mother and children, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor supported her with 50 million VND to build a new house.

"The house was built with a total cost of 200 million VND, of which the Provincial Federation of Labor supported 50 million VND, Chat Binh commune called for socialized support of 5 million VND, Phat Diem commune union supported 5 million VND and Dream Plastic Ninh Binh Company Limited supported 5 million VND... So the dream of many years of mother and child has come true. Thanks to the union organization, this year my mother and I can celebrate Tet in our new home" - Ms. Xuan shared.

Similarly, for Ms. Cao Thi Nga, a member of the An Binh Private Enterprise Union was also supported by the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor with 50 million VND to build a house. Ms. Nga's family is also a poor household in Quang Thien commune, her husband had an accident and was no longer able to work. She is the main breadwinner in the family, raising three young children of school age. For many years, the couple has had to stay at her parents' house in a cramped level 4 house with poor living conditions.

After surveying and grasping the actual situation, the Commune Union proposed that the Union at all levels support the construction of a "Union Shelter" house for Ms. Nga's family.

In addition to the support of 50 million VND from the Provincial Federation of Labor, Quang Thien Commune People's Committee, Phat Diem Commune Trade Union, An Binh sedge-playing private enterprise and the staff of VietinBank Ninh Binh Bank Retail Office have also provided additional funding for Ms. Nga's family to build a new house.

"The timely support of the Trade Union, local authorities and units has helped my wife and I have a spacious place to live, stabilize our lives, and create conditions to work with peace of mind and take care of our children" - Ms. Nga emotionally shared.
