Trade Union gives gifts to workers, businesses give Tet bonuses

Enterprises support grassroots unions in giving gifts to workers

At Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (CASUMINA), in addition to the Lunar New Year bonus in 2026 of 3 months' salary (December 13, 14, 15, according to the average salary received for 12 months, this enterprise also gives each employee a New Year bonus of 2 million VND. The company also pays seniority of VND 150,000/person/year, depending on the number of years of working for the company, the employee will receive different seniority bonuses.

In addition, from the proposal of the Trade Union, the General Director of the company decided to give each person a Tet gift of 15kg of rice, a gift of wine and Tet jam and some cleaning products... worth 1.6 million VND/gift.

"This gift was supposed to come from the union's financial resources, but the company decided to give it to union members and employees on behalf of the grassroots union. This is both an encouragement and a thank you to employees for their dedicated work with the company over the past year, and a support for the Trade Union to take care of employees" - Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoat, General Director of CASUMINA said.

The Nissei Electric Vietnam Company's Trade Union is also busy preparing for Tet for more than 1,520 employees of the company. According to Ms. Tran Thi Hong Van - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Nissei Electric Vietnam Company, the Board of Directors of the company recently announced Tet bonuses for employees. Accordingly, the average Tet bonus for employees is 2 months' salary, equivalent to 17 million VND/person; the highest is 2.2 months' salary, the lowest is 1.8 months' salary. Most employees are excited about this bonus.

In addition to the company's Tet bonus, the Trade Union also gave each member and employee a gift including a box of soft drinks, cakes, 2 liters of cooking oil, 2 packages of seasoning seeds and 1kg of sugar. "These gifts are very practical for the workers' families during Tet, helping workers have more flavor of the Trade Union organization during the first days of the year" - Ms. Van said.

Receiving both company gifts and union gifts

Mr. Luu Kim Hong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Nidec Vietnam Company - informed that the company has announced that it will pay Tet bonuses to employees on January 30. The beneficiaries are employees who are still working until the bonus date. The Tet bonus is 1.1 months' salary and salary allowance for December 2025, applied to those who have worked for a company for 1 year or more. For employees who have worked for 2 months to less than 1 year, they will be rewarded according to the month of work rate, while those who have worked for less than 2 months will be rewarded with 500,000 VND.

In addition, the company also supports 100% of the cost of buses (seats) for employees working for the company for 10 years or more, 90% of the cost for employees working for less than 10 years to return home for Tet; if employees want to take a sleeper bus, they will pay the difference between a seat ticket and a sleeper ticket. The Trade Union also gave each member and employee a gift worth VND500,000.

In particular, this year, based on the proposal of the Trade Union, Nidec Vietnam Company has decided to give 2 more special days off to 193 employees with hometowns in the Central region who suffered damage due to the recent storms and floods to support their families. This special 2-day holiday is calculated from January 1 to February 28, 2026.

"Currently, we are still asking the company to support 100% of the cost of transportation home to celebrate Tet for workers in the Central region and are waiting for the company to respond" - Mr. Hong added.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Dai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Juki Vietnam Company - shared that the company has sent a notice of Tet bonus to the Trade Union. Accordingly, employees will be rewarded from 1 to 1.65 months' salary, depending on the assessment and classification of employees in the year. This bonus level includes basic salary and allowances, and also depends on the number of months employees worked for the company in the year. As for the management level, it is decided by the company. The company also rewards each employee with a Tet gift worth 400,000 VND.

Mr. Dai added that every year the Trade Union often gives employees gifts worth VND500,000. This year, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union is calculating to increase the value of the Trade Union's gift to union members and employees.
