Union coordinates to support more than 1,000 union members with preferential loans of over 50 billion VND

According to the People's Public Security Trade Union (CAND), in 2025, the CAND Trade Union has gradually shifted its focus from short-term support to sustainable care for union members and workers. In particular, through welfare programs and livelihood support such as the Trade Union Shelter Program, the preferential loan support coordination program.

With the Trade Union Shelter Program, the People's Public Security Trade Union has built 10 new houses and supported the repair of 18 houses for union members in especially difficult circumstances with an average support level of 40'60 million VND/house. In 2025, the program has supported a total budget of nearly 1 billion VND for Trade Union Shelters, contributing to solving the housing needs, creating a stable and long-term foundation for union members.

The loan support program for union members has also achieved positive results. Accordingly, the People's Public Security Trade Union coordinated with the CEP Fund and socialized resources to support more than 1,000 union members with preferential loans; the total outstanding support debt was over 50 billion VND. The borrowers focus on police workers, contract workers, and low-income union members. The program has helped union members develop their family economy, limit black credit, and prevent social consequences arising from economic difficulties.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Cong Thanh Thao - Head of the People's Public Security Trade Union, in 2025, the work of caring for union members and workers in the People's Public Security will be implemented comprehensively, synchronously, with focus and key points, closely following the political tasks of the force and the practical situation of union members' lives. Caring activities are increasingly practical, timely, and targeted, harmoniously combining short-term support with long-term, sustainable welfare solutions; focusing on union members in difficult circumstances, police workers, contract workers and union members working in disadvantaged areas...
