Lang Son Trade Union enters the peak of taking care of Tet for union members

With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", many practical activities are being implemented, focusing on the grassroots, especially paying attention to workers in difficult circumstances.

According to the plan, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor will organize a series of caring activities with a focus on the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng". Activities are implemented flexibly, suitable to the conditions of each locality, ensuring practicality, economy and efficiency.

Speaking to reporters, Ms. Hoang Ngoc Thuy - Vice President of the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor - said that this year's "Tet Sum Vay" program is expected to be held in the central area with the participation of nearly 700 union members and workers. The rest will be visited and given gifts directly in areas of the old districts in the province, to ensure that workers in remote and disadvantaged areas are given timely attention and encouragement.

According to the leader of the Provincial Federation of Labor, organizing Tet care does not stop at material support, but also has a profound spiritual meaning, helping workers feel secure in sticking with businesses, stabilizing jobs, thereby contributing to maintaining harmonious labor relations and stabilizing social security in the province during Tet. Each Tet gift is worth 1 - 1.3 million VND.

At enterprises, grassroots trade unions are actively coordinating with employers to develop plans to take care of Tet for workers and laborers. Many units continue to maintain effective models that have been implemented in previous years.

At Xuan Cuong Friendship Joint Stock Company, Ms. Vi Thanh Thuy - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union - said that the unit currently has about 300 union members, nearly half of whom are workers from provinces and cities far from home. On the occasion of Lunar New Year, the trade union and enterprises plan to continue organizing the "Tet Sum Vay" Program, giving Tet gifts, and supporting workers in difficult circumstances.

In particular, the union will coordinate with businesses to arrange and support means for workers to return home to celebrate Tet safely and conveniently, helping workers feel more secure when Tet comes - Ms. Thuy shared.

According to records, not only at Huu Nghi Xuan Cuong, many businesses in the province are also proactively reviewing the number of workers in difficult circumstances, workers far from home, and workers working through Tet to have appropriate care plans, ensuring that no one is left behind during the traditional Tet holiday. In addition to giving gifts, trade unions at all levels in the province also increase dialogue and negotiation with employers on wages and Tet bonuses; supervise the implementation of policies and regimes for employees...

Along with that, activities to bring workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet, organize "Union Year's Meal", welfare programs, and preferential booths are also implemented to create a gathering and warm atmosphere in the last days of the year.

According to the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor, through a series of activities to care for Tet this year, the Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a representative, companion and a reliable support for workers. This is also an important foundation for workers to work with peace of mind, return to factories and enterprises on time after Tet, contributing to stabilizing production and business from the first days of the new year.

During the 2026 Lunar New Year, the total number of union members and workers taken care of during this period is expected to be about 3. 400 people, including more than 2. 000 union members received online shopping vouchers from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
