At Lao Cai Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, the Trade Union is not only an organization representing workers but also a trusted companion, always standing side by side with professionals in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of cadres and workers. With the motto: "Where there are workers, there are trade unions", many meaningful and practical activities have been implemented.

In a special working environment, with many hardships and dangers, often facing dust, toxic waste, risk of work accidents and occupational diseases - the company's employees are still tirelessly performing their tasks, especially during holidays and peak periods of urban hygiene. They do not have to manage difficulties, clean up and collect garbage at the right time and place, ensuring garbage classification to limit the spread of the disease to the community.

With the female employee rate of up to 80%, the Trade Union pays special attention to the spiritual life of women, creating conditions for them to work with peace of mind, overcome difficulties and stay with the profession for a long time. In particular, the Trade Union has coordinated to organize a Tet care program for workers with a total budget of nearly 100 million VND, handing out meaningful gifts, helping workers celebrate a full and warm Tet.

Average income reaches 12.4 million VND/month; workers are paid 13th month salary, off for holidays according to regulations, working in a green - clean - beautiful environment. According to the Collective Labor Agreement, employees are supported with 100% of tuition fees when participating in vocational training courses, and are entitled to buy personal insurance and early salary increases if they have outstanding achievements.

Aiming to improve the material and spiritual life of union members

Not only caring, the Trade Union also clearly demonstrates its role in representing and protecting the rights of workers. In periodic dialogues with the Board of Directors, the Trade Union is always a bridge to reflect the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of workers related to working regimes, labor safety, shift meals, toxic allowances, etc. Many recommendations have been accepted and resolved promptly such as: Equipping labor protection for workers working hard, improving the quality of shift meals, etc.

Union member Nguyen Thi Thuy shared: The Union always cares about, ensures the rights and timely support for union members in difficult circumstances. Practical emulation movements help us feel more secure and attached to work.

Implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", the Trade Union has organized many patriotic emulation movements such as: "Good workers, creative workers", "Initiatives, technical improvements", " old-quality, high-quality, effective workers" ... helping workers promote their intelligence, contributing hundreds of millions of VND to businesses' profits each year. The departmental unions are given specific instructions to implement emulation associated with daily work.

Many projects and small tasks have been registered for implementation, such as technical improvements, production rationalization, ensuring labor safety... All have been evaluated and rewarded in a timely manner, contributing to encouraging and motivating union members and workers.
