Steel processing enterprise union takes care of housing for union members in difficulty
Dak Lak - In recent years, the Trade Union of Asean Steel Joint Stock Company has effectively implemented the work of caring for union members in difficult circumstances.
The grassroots trade union of Asean Steel Joint Stock Company (Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Dak Lak province) currently has 345 employees, 100% of whom are union members.
The company's workforce is mainly male. Of which, there are 19 female union members. In recent years, the jobs and lives of union members and workers at enterprises have been basically stable.
According to the Trade Union of Asean Steel Joint Stock Company, the enterprise always fully implements the regimes and policies for employees such as signing labor contracts, paying social insurance, etc.
The average income of union members and workers is about 6.77 million VND/person/month. One of the highlights in the union's caring activities is supporting housing for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
In the 2017-2024 period, the grassroots trade union has mobilized and coordinated to support the construction of 26 houses for union members and workers with housing difficulties with a total cost of 3.9 billion VND. Of which, grassroots trade unions supported 850 million VND; trade unions at all levels in the province and enterprises supported 2.6 billion VND.
The program has brought about clear results, becoming a timely source of encouragement, contributing to helping union members stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind and stay with businesses and trade unions for a long time.
The leader of the Trade Union of Asean Steel Joint Stock Company said that towards the 2025-2030 term, the grassroots trade union sets many specific targets such as: Every year, the higher-level trade union is classified as having completed the task well or better; 100% of the trade union group and union members complete the task well; each year, 57 outstanding union members are introduced to the Party.
In particular, 100% of union members have well implemented the regulations; strive for over 90% of union members to be fully propagandized and disseminated the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws and the resolutions of the trade union organization.
