Union meal with nearly 1,400 special meals at a company in Ninh Binh

Accordingly, "Union Meal" was organized by the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor in coordination with the Trade Union and the Board of Directors of Great Global International Company Limited right at the Company's collective dining room.

This is a special shift meal for nearly 1,400 union members and employees at Great Global International Company Limited because the value and quality of the meal are many times higher than usual.

Mr. Dinh Quoc Tuan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Great Global International Company Limited shared that the normal shift meal here is only worth 17,000 VND/meal, but today's special meal is worth up to 77,000 VND/meal. Of which, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor provided additional support for each meal of 35,000 VND, the Trade Union supported 10,000 VND and the Company supported 15,000 VND.

"Previously, a shift meal for employees here was only worth VND15,000, then the Executive Board of the Trade Union negotiated with the Company's Board of Directors to increase it to VND17,000 as at present and we are continuing to negotiate to increase the value of shift meals for employees in the Company" - Mr. Tuan said.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor said that following the success of the "Union Meal" Program in previous years, which was directed and launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

This year, the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor has implemented instructions for affiliated trade unions to coordinate with business owners to organize "Union Meals" for union members and employees at enterprises.

With the goal of bringing practical benefits, better benefits and especially improving the quality of shift meals for union members and employees at enterprises. At the same time, it contributes to taking care of the material and spiritual lives of employees, strengthening the connection between employees and trade unions and employers.

Organizing the "Union Meal" Program helps bridge the gap between employees and business leaders, creating an intimate space where employees, union officials and business leaders sit together to share their thoughts, aspirations, listen and understand each other better.

Thereby, creating a united and cohesive working environment, contributing to building progressive, harmonious and stable labor relations in enterprises.In addition, the "Union Meal" also shows the concern and care of the Union organization and business leaders for union members and employees.

At the program, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor presented 100 gifts worth 80 million VND to union members and employees in difficult circumstances at the Company.
