6,150 Vinh Long union members receive shopping support

Workers prioritize purchasing necessities to celebrate Tet

In early January 2026, at many enterprises in Vinh Long province, workers began to access the 2026 Spring Union Tet Market online, instead of the traditional traditional markets.

At Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Investment and Production Joint Stock Company (Tra Cu Commune, Vinh Long Province), workers take advantage of their break to choose cooking oil, fish sauce and products to serve their family during Tet.

Ms. Le Thi Van, a worker at the company, said that with an e-voucher worth 500,000 VND, she prioritizes buying essential items. According to Ms. Van, online shopping helps save time, travel costs and especially no transportation costs. Choosing the right product helps workers effectively use the support from the Trade Union, avoiding waste compared to the previous fixed form of receiving Tet gifts.

At Ty Bach Company Limited, Binh Minh Industrial Park, many workers expressed their satisfaction when they proactively chose to buy necessities to serve family life during Tet.

Mr. Tran Minh Hoang, a worker in the production department, said that his family still has many difficulties, and their income mainly depends on workers' salaries. This is the third consecutive year that the Union has included him in the list of Tet support through online shopping. According to Mr. Hoang, prioritizing the purchase of necessities helps the family effectively use the support, reducing spending pressure in the days before Tet.

Online Tet market expands union member welfare

According to Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, the 2026 Trade Union Tet Market is a large-scale program implemented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with a total of 200,000 support parts nationwide. Vinh Long province alone was allocated 6,150 shares, including 6,000 union members and 150 union officials. Each portion is an electronic shopping voucher worth VND500,000 for online shopping.

Mr. Linh said that the program focuses on supporting union members in difficult circumstances, with low incomes or with many contributions to production labor, ensuring proper care for the target group.

In addition to the practical support, organizing the Trade Union Tet Market online also helps reduce organization costs, limit intermediaries, and ensure publicity and transparency. The Provincial Federation of Labor has directed grassroots unions to review the list, provide technical support to workers in the process of registering for accounts, using e-vouchers and receiving goods. In enterprises with a large number of workers, the receiving area is arranged appropriately, creating conditions for the transportation unit to focus, ensuring the goods reach the workers safely and promptly.

According to the plan, the 2026 Trade Union Spring Tet Market online will take place from January 5 to March 4, 2026, creating conditions for workers to proactively shop during the peak of Tet.
