Vinh Long records 234 initiatives bringing benefits of about 27 billion VND

Initiatives from workers bring great value

The movement "Good labor, creative labor" is being effectively implemented by many businesses in Vinh Long province, encouraging workers to boldly propose initiatives and technical improvements, contributing to improving labor productivity, reducing production costs and improving competitiveness.

At Furukawa Automotive Systems Vinh Long Vietnam Co., Ltd. (FAVV), many initiatives of workers have been applied in practice, bringing clear results. Currently, the enterprise has 19 initiatives proposed to competent authorities for consideration and awarding Creative Labor Certificates.

One of the typical initiatives is by Mr. Nguyen Tan Thanh, Head of Material Warehouse Management, with the conversion of Kanban TUBE barcodes from long to square, helping to shorten reading time from 7 seconds to 2 seconds per kanban.

This solution helps the system process faster, limit data overload, thereby making a profit of about 134.8 million VND per year for businesses.

In addition, worker Le Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of the Center for Technical Technology - Automation and Production Support of Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Investment and Production Joint Stock Company (Vinh Long) has an initiative to improve the glue scanning process in production. After application, the stage only needs to scan glue once instead of twice as before, and only uses two workers instead of the previous four workers.

Worker Thanh Binh said the initiative helps businesses save nearly 443 million VND, while reducing labor, shortening operation time and improving production line efficiency.

Creative initiative movement spreads strongly

Not only at FAVV, the technical innovation movement is also maintained effectively in many businesses in the province. The main solutions focus on improving production processes, reducing operations, saving raw materials and improving labor productivity.

Mr. Cao Huu Trong Bac - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Lefaso Tra Vinh Industrial Investment and Production Joint Stock Company (Vinh Long) said that from the beginning of the year to now, the company has launched an initiative movement to improve labor production and recorded 48 initiative ideas.

According to Mr. Bac, the initiatives brought a total value of more than 1.46 billion VND in profit to businesses. Many initiatives are still maintaining their effectiveness after application, including solutions to save over 440 million VND and many other initiatives to help businesses save more than 150 million VND.

Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation - said that the creative labor emulation movement is increasingly spreading deeply and widely among union members and workers.

According to Mr. Linh, from the beginning of the year to now, the whole province has had 234 initiatives recognized by competent authorities, with a total benefit value of about 27 billion VND. The Provincial Labor Federation is summarizing typical and effective initiatives to propose to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to consider recognizing the Creative Labor Certificate.

Initiatives stemming from production practices not only help businesses reduce costs, improve productivity and operational efficiency, but also affirm the role and intelligence of the worker team in the process of technological innovation, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of Vinh Long province.
