Dien Ban Dong Ward Trade Union, Da Nang presents 68 gifts to support disadvantaged students
Da Nang - Dien Ban Dong Ward Trade Union organizes the program "Trade Union Hands - Raising Steps for Children to School".
Towards the 2026–2027 school year and practically celebrating the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 – July 28, 2026), the Dien Ban Dong Ward Trade Union organized the program "Trade Union Hands - Supporting Children to School", giving gifts to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, overcoming difficulties in their studies.
Attending the program were Ms. Pham Thi Trang, Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Ban Dong ward, along with representatives of departments, branches, unions, grassroots trade unions, parents and students.
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 68 gifts with a total budget of 36.5 million VND. The gifts included scholarships, cash and student notebooks for children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances who have the will to rise up in their studies. The funding was mobilized from the Dien Ban Dong Ward Trade Union and the support of the Da Nang City Labor Federation.
Leaders of Dien Ban Dong Ward Trade Union said that caring for the lives of union members, workers and children of union members is always the central task of the Trade Union organization. The gifts given are not only material support but also a source of spiritual encouragement, adding faith for the children to strive to study, train, and strive to achieve good results in the new school year.
The program "Trade Union Hands - Encouraging Children to Go to School" continues to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for union members, workers and families. At the same time, the activity contributes to spreading the spirit of mutual affection, promoting the tradition of "the healthy leaf protects the torn leaf", mobilizing the joint efforts of trade union levels, Party committees, authorities and mass organizations for the cause of education.
Through the program, many students in difficult circumstances are motivated and confidently enter the 2026–2027 school year with determination to study, practice and rise up in life.
