More than 1,420 new collective labor agreements were signed
1,298 grassroots trade unions in enterprises have proposed and negotiated with employers to adjust the value of shift meals.
According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Program No. 05/TTr-BCH dated September 6, 2024 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Improving the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining in the 2023 ‐ 2028 period" has been implemented by trade unions at all levels, achieving important results. Since the beginning of the year, 1,429 new collective labor agreements have been signed, reaching the annual target of 40%, raising the rate of signed collective labor agreements to 75%; 3,125 collective labor agreements have been amended and supplemented.
The quality of collective labor agreements continues to be improved, focusing on negotiating and including in the signing of beneficial contents, higher than the provisions of law for employees, especially the content of wages, bonuses, bonuses according to the ratio of beneficial value of initiatives, technical improvements, useful topics, solutions, working hours, rest hours, shift meals, and occupational safety and hygiene. 1,298 grassroots trade unions in enterprises have proposed and negotiated with employers to adjust the value of shift meals to increase, reaching 45.3% of the annual target.
Trade unions at all levels have also actively participated in building and implementing democracy at agencies, units and enterprises; focused on improving the quality of conferences of cadres, civil servants and public employees, conferences of workers and dialogues at the workplace according to the provisions of the Law on implementing democracy at the grassroots level and the Guidelines of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, contributing to promoting the mastery of cadres, civil servants and public employees.
100% of grassroots trade unions in the public service administrative sector, nearly 71% of grassroots trade unions in the non-state sector issued and implemented grassroots democracy regulations; 99% of administrative agencies and public service units organized conferences for cadres, civil servants and public employees; nearly 67% of enterprises organized conferences for workers; there were over 33,753 periodic dialogues, 7,269 dialogues on request and 3,871 dialogues when an incident was held.
The rate of units subject to the establishment of People's Inspectorate Boards that have established People's Inspectorate Boards at the unit reached 99%.
