HCMC - Representatives of the HCMC Labor Federation and other units have resolved the case of hundreds of workers gathering to request the company to pay wages and social insurance (SI).
On September 20, a clip was circulated online about hundreds of workers gathering inside L.H Vietnam Production and Trading Company Limited (in Uyen Hung Industrial Cluster, Tan Uyen Ward, Binh Duong Province) to demand the company to pay salaries and related insurance benefits.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that the incident occurred on the morning of September 19 and is being handled by officials of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation in coordination with agencies.
The parties agreed with the business representative, found a solution and made a record of the incident.
Accordingly, at around 10:00 a.m. on September 19, workers focused on asking the company to pay 50% of August 2025 salary to 1,272 employees with a total amount of VND 9.039 billion.
In addition, the company has not paid union fees in the amount of more than 2 billion VND, and owes social insurance from April 2024 to present with about 13 billion VND...
At the time of making the record, the two foreigners who were legal representatives and the company's authorized representative were not present.
Through the meeting, the company's human resources director said that he had worked with the bank and committed to paying wages to employees. The company will also try to arrange debts from customers, pay social insurance and union fees.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that the enterprise had paid wages to workers on the evening of September 19.
The working group suggested that the company and the Executive Board of the Trade Union continue to propagate and encourage workers to work with peace of mind, and if necessary, continue to organize dialogues with workers. Request the company to issue a notice to resolve the recommendations of employees at the enterprise to inform employees. At the same time, strictly comply with the provisions of the law, ensure the rights of workers and fully pay union wages according to regulations.
