The flood at the end of October caused water to flood into the entire factory area, damaging equipment and goods, and interrupting production. Hundreds of workers also had their houses flooded and lost their property. In that difficult context, the management of Sedo Vinako company decided to allocate more than 15 billion VND, directly supporting more than 5,000 employees (3 million VND/person) to meet the weight sharing time.

"We know many workers are struggling. Although businesses suffered great losses, if they did not meet the support requirements, they would face even more difficulties. As soon as the water receded, from the director to the worker gently cleaned, disinfected the forest, checked - replaced the machinery. We must process year-end orders to keep jobs and increase compensation income after floods" - Mr. Kim Byung Tae - Director of Sedo Vinako LLC - shared.

Not only Sedo Vinako, many businesses in Da Nang have helped reduce difficulties for workers and people in flooded areas. Hoiana disbursed 1 billion VND to the Da Nang City Fatherland Front Committee District, and directly presented 5,000 bottles of water, 800 boxes of cakes and hundreds of hot meals to the people. "We will continue to monitor and support until people are stable" - said the company representative.

At the same time, Daikyo Ohta Clothing Company Limited (Dien Ban) gave all employees 6 days off on salary impact, transferring 2 million VND/person to support accounts to resolve after the flood. At Hitech Vietnam Company (Tay An Industrial Park, Duy Xuyen), more than 1,400 workers received 1.4 million VND/person... "Workers are the largest asset. In times of trouble, we must take care of them first" - Hitech's leader shared briefly.

According to Mr. Le Van Dai - Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, the company will develop support for workers in two phases. Phase 1 directly supported more than 10,000 workers and laborers who suffered heavy damage; phase 2 motivated savings, units participated in solving the consequences; visited and supported temporary departments, storm prevention in localities and enterprises to soon stabilize products.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Dang - a garment worker - shared: "My family raises two young children, with unstable income, and was deeply flooded in the recent flood. Many tools and rice were damaged. This natural disaster caused heavy disappointment: Clothing and many businesses in Da Nang were equipped with deep flooding; agricultural product warehouses and electronics stores suffered great damage. It took 5 days for the Hai Vinh agricultural product warehouse (An Thang ward) to mobilize nearly 20 people to increase nearly 1,000 bags of sticky rice, sticky rice, beans, and sugar to be transported out, with an estimated loss of more than 1 billion VND. "It is difficult to peace with great damage, but we have to continue doing it. In the immediate future, be quiet, handle damaged goods; then consider restoring business" - said the warehouse representative.
