Lam Dong Trade Union takes care of 100% of employees through dialogue and negotiation
Lam Dong - The Trade Union of the Branch of First Team Vietnam Garment Company Limited has increasingly better cared for workers thanks to dialogue and collective bargaining.
On January 7, Ms. Tran Ngoc Nhu Quynh - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Branch of First Team Vietnam Garment Company Limited (Loc Son Industrial Park, Lam Dong Province) said that the unit has more than 1,200 employees. Of which, over 90% are female workers.
The trade union here aims to focus on representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; better care for the material and spiritual life of union members; and build a strong and comprehensive trade union organization.
Ms. Quynh shared that to achieve this goal, the Executive Board of the Trade Union has implemented many synchronous solutions, close to the situation of the company branch.
Most notably, the trade union proactively proposed organizing a dialogue between the company's Board of Directors and employees. Dialogue sessions are held periodically every year and suddenly when necessary; the dialogue content is compiled by the union in advance, from the opinions of workers.
At the same time, the Executive Board of the trade union organized negotiations with the Board of Directors of the company to reach an agreement and sign a collective labor agreement. Many more beneficial provisions for workers have been proposed and successfully protected by the Executive Committee of the trade union.
In dialogue and collective bargaining, we are always proactive, prepare accurate information, have a basis for implementation, so we have convinced the company's Board of Directors to approve better policies and benefits for employees, said Ms. Quynh.
Thanks to promoting the role of the Trade Union organization in dialogue and negotiation, 100% of workers have signed labor contracts and fully participate in social insurance.
Union members and workers enjoy many practical policies such as support for fuel, rent, vocational training support, and support for raising young children. Along with that are policies on bonuses for diligence, bonuses for compliance with labor discipline, performance bonuses, holidays bonuses...
These welfare policies have encouraged workers to work with high productivity, quality, and income, and become more and more attached to the union and the company.
