Many activities to care for workers

In early January 2026, at many enterprises in the Southeast Nghe An Economic Zone, the Tet preparation atmosphere has clearly appeared in each workshop, dining area, and workers' living area.

According to the plan, the Trade Union of Gaiwach Vietnam International apparel Company Limited will organize a New Year's Meal for workers at noon on February 6, the same afternoon, giving Lunar New Year gifts to workers. The enterprise also organized a gala night on January 31, 2026, combining awards for outstanding union members and supporting those in difficult circumstances.

At Cypress Shoes Company, the year-end program was held on January 31, with a year-end meal for workers taking place on February 7, 2026, contributing to creating a cohesive atmosphere before the New Year.

Everwin Company's Trade Union organizes a union meal at noon on January 31, 2026. On the same Gala night, the enterprise gave gifts to support workers affected by storms and floods and those in difficult circumstances. Tet gift giving activities will continue to be implemented on February 6-7.

According to Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor, the above activities are part of the plan to care for the practical benefits and welfare of union members and workers, especially during the 2026 Lunar New Year. The focus is on timely support for those in difficulty, suffering from serious illnesses, and having work-related accidents, helping workers feel secure during Tet.

Spending tens of billions of VND on the Tet Sum Vay program

Having become a tradition, activities to care for union members and workers during the traditional New Year have always received special attention from the Trade Union organization. According to Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor, on the occasion of Binh Ngo 2026, trade unions at all levels in the province coordinated with enterprises to organize many activities to care for union members and workers such as arts, sports, lucky draws, free market; giving gifts, cash and necessities; supporting train and bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet.

Activities are widely organized at enterprises and production facilities, with a total cost of up to tens of billions of VND. The Federation of Labor will have its own program, giving away 300 Tet gifts, each worth 1,000,000 VND/person, along with gifts in kind from socialized sources. Many meaningful activities were organized such as: Spring art, exchange games, lucky draws and honoring 40 outstanding workers were commended by the Provincial People's Committee.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor - said that taking care of Tet for union members and workers is the key task of the Trade Union organization at the end of the year. Trade unions at all levels focus resources, prioritizing support for workers in difficult circumstances, serious illnesses, and work-related accidents; at the same time, coordinate with businesses to ensure the payment of Tet bonuses is public, transparent, and on time.

In addition to immediate care activities, Nghe An Trade Union continues to implement long-term welfare programs, including coordinating the implementation of social housing projects for workers, contributing to stabilizing the lives and retaining workers.
