Lao Dong Newspaper cooperates with Vietnam Social Insurance to protect workers' rights

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper - said that in the 96 years of development, the Newspaper has always been present at hot spots, protecting the legitimate rights of workers. In particular, in recent times, Lao Dong Newspaper has taken action and spoken out about dozens of cases of enterprises late in paying social insurance for employees, thereby helping thousands of employees claim social insurance benefits.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hung Son - Party Committee Secretary, Director of Vietnam Social Insurance - said that Lao Dong Newspaper is a companion of the industry. The target audience is also the service audience of Vietnam Social Insurance.

"The new regulations on the Social Insurance Law 2024 have been passed and will take effect from July 1, 2025. The new points of the Law will have a very strong impact on the rights and obligations of participants such as reducing the pension period to 15 years, individual business households participating in compulsory social insurance, sanctions for evasion of social insurance payment are no different from tax - violating enterprises will be strictly handled, even criminal prosecution... are all issues that people are very concerned about. We hope that Lao Dong Newspaper will continue to accompany and closely coordinate with Vietnam Social Insurance, resolutely protect the rights of workers, and strongly promote so that people can access information about social insurance as soon as possible, and workers will receive benefits in a timely manner" - Mr. Son emphasized.
