Sequence of occupational disease investigation
The newly issued Ministry of Health Circular 56/2025/TT-BYT guiding occupational disease management takes effect from February 15, 2026.
In which, regulations on the investigation procedures, making records and publishing the Minutes of Investigation of Occupational Diseases are based on Article 13.
Article 13. Procedures for investigation, recording and publishing the Minutes of Investigation of Occupational Diseases
1. Procedures for investigation and recording:
a) Reviewing the scene of the labor facility;
b) Collecting evidence and documents related to occupational diseases (taking samples of harmful factors at the workplace for analysis and assessment as a basis for determining disease causation factors);
c) Consider the management records of occupational hygiene, health of workers, and occupational diseases of labor facilities;
d) Direct consultation with employees, employers and other subjects related to labor hygiene management, employee health, and occupational diseases of labor facilities;
d) Organize necessary examinations and tests for cases where employees suspect occupational diseases (if necessary);
e) Other contents designated by the Head of the occupational disease investigation team if necessary;
g) Make a record of occupational disease investigation according to the form prescribed in Appendix IX issued with this Circular.
2. Announcement of the Investigation Minutes:
The occupational disease investigation team held a meeting immediately after completing the investigation to announce the Minutes of Investigation of occupational diseases at the investigated facility.
