The newly issued Ministry of Health Circular 56/2025/TT-BYT guiding occupational disease management takes effect from February 15, 2026.

In particular, regulations on records for examination and detection of occupational diseases are based on Article 8.

Article 8. Record of examination and detection of occupational diseases

1. In case of occupational disease detection examination organized by the employer or at the request of the competent authority, the employer prepares documents for occupational disease detection for employees, including:

a) Health certificate before work arrangement according to the form prescribed in Appendix II issued with this Circular;

b) Book for health examination for occupational diseases according to the form prescribed in Appendix III issued with this Circular;

c) A valid copy of the results of the implementation of labor environment monitoring and the results of occupational contact assessment ( extracted from the Labor Environment Monitoring Results Report where the employee works) is still valid.

In case of suspected exposure to acute occupational diseases that have not yet determined the level of exposure to harmful factors at the time of occurring occupational diseases, there must be a valid copy of the Minutes of confirmation of exposure to harmful factors causing acute occupational diseases according to the form prescribed in Appendix IV issued with this Circular;

d) valid copy of discharge papers or summary of medical records related to occupational diseases (if any).

2. In case the employer does not comply with the provisions of the law on occupational safety and hygiene but must investigate occupational diseases, the Minutes of Investigation of Occupational Diseases shall be used to replace the documents specified in Points a, b and c, Clause 1 of this Article.
