Professional soldiers who are demobilized are entitled to an allowance of 1.5 months' salary per year for social insurance contributions

Article 6 of Decree 338/2026/ND-CP (effective from August 26, 2026) amends and supplements Article 4 of Decree No. 151/2016/ND-CP stipulating the Policy regime for professional soldiers demobilized according to points a and c, clause 3, Article 40 of the Law, as stipulated as follows:

1. Be entitled to job creation allowance equal to 03 months of salary; be supported with vocational training or job introduction at job introduction organizations of ministries, branches, unions, localities and other socio-economic organizations.

2. Being entitled to a one-time demobilization allowance, for each year of work with compulsory social insurance contributions, they are entitled to an allowance equal to 1.5 months of salary.

3. Being entitled to one-time social insurance benefits or preserving social insurance participation time according to current regulations of law on social insurance.

4. Priority is given to adding points to the results of civil servant and public employee recruitment exams according to the provisions of law on cadres, civil servants, and public employees at the time of the recruitment exam.

Thus, from August 26, 2026, professional demobilized soldiers will enjoy the above regimes and policies.
