Article 5, Circular 28/2026/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training Regulating professional standards for preschool teachers (effective from April 9, 2026), stipulates the standards for training and fostering levels for preschool teachers as follows:
1. For grade III and grade II
a) Having a college degree or higher in preschool teacher training;
b) Having a professional standard training certificate for preschool teachers.
2. For grade I
a) Having a bachelor's degree or higher in preschool teacher training; or having a college degree in preschool teacher training and having a bachelor's degree or higher in majors belonging to the group of educational sciences;
b) Having a professional standard training certificate for preschool teachers.
Thus, from April 9, 2026, grade I preschool teachers need to have a bachelor's degree or higher in preschool teacher training according to the above regulations.
