Hanoi creates new jobs for 222,000 people in 2025
In 2025, Hanoi City will create new jobs for 222,000 people, reaching more than 131% of the plan, according to the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs.
According to the Hanoi Department of Home Affairs, thanks to the results of job creation, the unemployment rate in urban areas in the capital decreased to 2.14%.
Hanoi City has synchronously implemented effective job creation solutions, in which the Hanoi Employment Service Center organized 255 job fairs with 7,642 units, enterprises and 58,816 employees participating. The center has introduced jobs to 59,681 people; the number of recruited workers is 20,233 people.
At the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the number of employees applying for unemployment insurance decreased by 22.72% compared to the same period in 2024, the estimated urban unemployment rate in 2025 is 2.14%, completed early and achieved the goal of reducing the unemployment rate to below 3% as planned.
The Hanoi Employment Service Center also received 59,241 applications for unemployment insurance; issued decisions to receive unemployment insurance for 57,025 people with a supported amount of VND 2,055 billion. 41,406 workers receiving unemployment insurance benefits were consulted and introduced to jobs; 822 people were supported to learn a trade...
