Employed workers in the fourth quarter of 2025 are estimated at 52.7 million people

The report on the socio-economic situation in the fourth quarter and 2025 of the Statistical Office shows that the labor and employment situation in the fourth quarter of 2025 has many signs of improvement, the labor force, the number of employed people and the average monthly income of workers all increased compared to the previous quarter and increased compared to the same period last year.

The labor force aged 15 and over nationwide in the fourth quarter of 2025 is estimated at 53.8 million people, an increase of 488.7 thousand people compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 690.0 thousand people compared to the same period last year. The rate of unemployment among working-age people in the fourth quarter of 2025 was 1.67%, up 0.17 percentage points compared to the previous quarter and up 0.02 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The average income of workers in the fourth quarter of 2025 is 8.7 million VND/month, an increase of 323,000 VND compared to the third quarter of 2025 and an increase of 508,000 VND compared to the same period in 2024. The unemployment rate among working-age people in the fourth quarter of 2025 was 2.22%, up 0.01 percentage points compared to the previous quarter and unchanged from the same period last year. The unemployment rate among working-age people in 2025 is 2.22%, down 0.02 percentage points compared to the previous year, of which urban areas are 2.51%; rural areas are 2.02%.
