Honoring Medals and Badges to the sacrificed police officers
Ba Ria - Vung Tau - Police officers who sacrificed their lives while on duty in Vung Tau were posthumously awarded the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal; the bravery Youth Badge.
On the morning of March 6, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police held a ceremony to posthumously award the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal and the bravery Youth Badge to Sergeant Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat (born in 2001, hometown of Phu Yen).
Sergeant Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat - soldier of the Mobile Police Department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police - sacrificed his life while performing the task of controlling and suppressing crime in Vung Tau City on March 3, 2025.
Recognizing the spirit of attacking and suppressing crime, upholding the revolutionary heroism of Sergeant Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat, the President issued a decision to posthumously award the Second Class Fatherland Protection Medal to Sergeant Nhat.
At the same time, the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union issued a decision to posthumously award the bravery Youth Badge to Sergeant Nhat.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Police held a summons ceremony for comrade Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat on the same morning.
Previously, at around 7:35 a.m. on March 3, the working group of Ward 7 Police, Vung Tau City went to the house to invite Duong Huu Tri (born in 1987, also known as Ty Ho - a drug addict) to the headquarters for drug testing. However, Tri did not comply, used a swerver to slash the authorities and then returned to burn the working group's motorbike.
Many forces have coordinated to mobilize and persuade, but the subject did not comply, continued to stay in the house, cursed, threatened; even used boiling water to splash on soldiers on duty, burning one person.
In response to the above situation, the force at the scene proceeded to approach and control the subject. At this time, the Japanese chess player was stabbed once in the right chest by the subject with a knife. Although Hanh Nhat was quickly taken to Vung Tau Hospital for emergency treatment, at around 1:30 p.m., he died.
Recognizing the courageous actions, determination to fight, arrest criminals, ensure security and order, for the peace of the people, the Police of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province issued a decision to promote the rank of Ham from the Corporal to the Senator's obligations from 3.3.2025, for Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh Nhat.
