Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission pays tribute to war invalids and sick soldiers in Nghe An
Nghe An - Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia visited, presented gifts, and expressed his deep gratitude to the war invalids and sick soldiers in Nghe An.
On the afternoon of July 16, during a working program in Nghe An, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - visited and presented gifts to wounded and sick soldiers at the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center.
Accompanying him were comrades: Ngo Dong Hai - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Nguyen Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Tran Hong Nguyen - Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Law and Justice Commission; leaders of central departments, ministries and branches and leaders of Nghe An province.
The delegation offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs at the memorial house in the Center's grounds, visited and encouraged the wounded and sick soldiers being cared for.
Over the past 50 years, Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center has received nearly 1,000 war invalids and sick soldiers from the battlefields of resistance against France, the war against the US, the war to protect the border and performed international missions in Laos and Cambodia for care and treatment. In 2017, the Center was assigned the task of organizing rotating nursing care for meritorious people and their relatives. To date, nearly 3,000 subjects have been treated in accordance with regulations.
Currently, the Center is nurturing, treating and implementing policies for 55 war invalids and sick soldiers of Nghe An and Ha Tinh, with many complicated wounds and diseases, often having to be treated at Military Hospital 4, Military Central Hospital 108, Military Hospital 103 and leading hospitals.
Speaking at the event, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia expressed his emotion, affirming that the Party, State and people always remember the great contributions of the wounded and sick soldiers - those who sacrificed their blood and bones for national independence and international service.
He highly appreciated the efforts of the Center's staff in caring for and treating war invalids and sick soldiers; at the same time, he hoped that they would continue to uphold the spirit of "standing but not being weak", spreading the fire, spreading the aspiration to contribute to the younger generation.
On this occasion, the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the working delegation and the leaders of Nghe An province presented gifts to the Center and the meritorious service members and sick soldiers, encouraged them to live well and happily, contributing to building their homeland and country.
