The Central Government supplies more than 1,750 tons of rice to Dak Lak after storm No. 13

On November 14, news from the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that the Ministry of Finance has just decided to issue national reserve rice in an emergency situation to the Provincial People's Committee.

Previously, on November 13, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee submitted a proposal for food support for people in localities affected by storm No. 13.

After consideration, the Ministry of Finance requested the State Reserve to issue (without collecting money) more than 1,750 tons of national reserve rice in emergency situations to the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee. Thereby, to support people in localities affected by storm No. 13.

The Ministry of Finance requests the State Reserve Department to direct the State Reserve branches in the area to coordinate with the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee to distribute rice in the right quantity, to the right subjects and for the right purposes.

Previously, storm No. 13 was very strong, moving quickly, with a wide range of impacts, accompanied by heavy rain, causing heavy damage to Dak Lak province.

The whole province had 3 deaths and 13 injuries. More than 10,500 houses collapsed, had their roofs blown off, or were damaged; more than 9,200 houses were flooded. Regarding agricultural production, more than 51,720 hectares of crops were damaged.

According to preliminary statistics, the total damage to Dak Lak province is estimated at about 2,600 billion VND.
