From the cradle of the Central Revolution under the French colonial period, where many patriotic revolutionaries were born, Da Nang became a solid fulcrum for the revolutionary movement, making a mark with the event of establishing the Party Committee on March 28, 1930.
Through the two wars against the French and the United States, the Danang Party Committee and the people of Da Nang fought and sacrificed heroically, making an important contribution to the common victory of the nation. In particular, the event of liberating Da Nang city on March 29, 1975 marked a dazzling milestone in the history of the struggle of the army and the people of the city.
During the renovation period, Da Nang has achieved proud achievements in many fields. The economy is growing rapidly, the size of the economy has increased many times compared to 1997. Urbanization has reached a high rate, modern infrastructure, tourism has developed strongly, becoming a spearhead economic sector. Da Nang is also the leading locality in the country in digital transformation, building e-government, contributing to improving the efficiency of state management.
City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang also frankly acknowledged the limitations and shortcomings. The economic development rate is not commensurate with the potential, the quality of growth is limited, the state management in some areas is still weak. At the same time, he also emphasized the determination of the Party Committee and the city government in overcoming these limitations, creating new motivation for sustainable development.
