Today (March 15), nearly 79 million voters nationwide participated in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term is a major political event of the country, an opportunity for voters nationwide to promote their right to mastery, directly select typical deputies who are worthy of representing the will and aspirations of the people in state power agencies.

The General Secretary said that this is also called the 16th National General Election. Our country has 80 years and has gone through 16 National Assembly and People's Council elections at all levels to select and select the people who are most trusted and most prestigious by the people to continue to lead and develop our country.
According to the General Secretary, this election, the election work has been prepared very carefully from very early on in all fields, creating the most favorable conditions for voters in any situation to express their opinions, their votes. This is the implementation of direct democracy to select people they trust and believe in to continue to lead the country, lead localities to develop.
This election is on the occasion of our successful organization of the 14th National Party Congress. All guidelines, policies, orientations, and directions for the development of our country in this term as well as the vision of the following periods have been introduced, promoted, and strongly supported by the people, cadres, and party members.

Next, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang participated in voting.

On the morning of March 15, Mr. Tran Sy Thanh - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee - attended the opening ceremony and exercised citizens' rights, voting to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term at ballot box No. 6, Dai Thang block, Luong Van Tri ward, Lang Son province.
Also participating in the vote here was Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.
Luong Van Tri Ward is one of the central wards of Lang Son province, with a large area and large population with more than 14,500 voters, participating in voting in 20 polling areas.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa - Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Fatherland Front Work Committee, Head of the Election Team, preparation work has been deployed many days ago and all conditions are now ready for voting. This election team has about 1,600 voters participating in the election.
At the same time, Ms. Nguyen Huyen Tram - a member of Election Team No. 16, said that this is one of the key election locations of the ward, so all steps and procedures are well prepared. Up to this point, the stages have been completed, ready for the great festival of the country.
The election team has 20 members who are trained and assigned to specific positions, ready to perform well the assigned tasks.

This polling station has more than 1,780 voters. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour attended the opening ceremony and election at ballot box No. 24, Xuan Dinh ward.
Attending the opening ceremony of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term at polling station No. 24, Xuan Dinh ward were also representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, People's Council, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, members of the Election Steering Committee, members of the Xuan Dinh Ward Election Committee.
From 5 am, members of the Election Team, service forces and volunteers were present at the polling station to ensure that the election took place solemnly, safely and in accordance with regulations.
Talking to us, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung - Secretary of the Party cell of Xuan Loc 4 residential group, Head of the election team, said that 21 members of the election team were present from 5 am at the polling station, preparing for tasks and welcoming voters. Previously, to prepare and ensure that the election took place on schedule and successfully, members of the election team were very active in performing tasks, regardless of time or schedule to issue voter cards, propagate about the obligations and rights of citizens to people participating in voting at polling station No. 24. Many days, members had to work until 11 pm because many families were only present at the apartment at that time.
Arriving at the polling station from just past 6 am, Ms. Hoang Thi Lien, born in 1931, the oldest voter, expressed her joy at the thorough preparation of the election team. She said that although her health was poor, she had carefully read the biographies of the candidates to choose the right people for the government apparatus.
On the morning of March 15, Election Team No. 7 of Xuan Dinh ward solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and the election of People's Council deputies at all levels for the term 2026 – 2031.

From 5:30 am on March 15, at Voting area No. 11, Phu Thuong ward, Hanoi city, Ciputra Community House area E, members of the election team came to the polling station to prepare for the election and renovate the areas at the polling station.
At the polling station in neighborhood 20, Quy Nhon Nam ward (Gia Lai province), Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan and a large number of local voters participated in voting to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Voting station in neighborhood 20 had 899 voters participating in the election. According to records, the organization work here was deployed thoughtfully and in accordance with regulations, ensuring solemnity and safety, creating favorable conditions for voters to exercise their citizen rights.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha votes in ballot box No. 7, Phuc Loi ward.
The entire Phuc Loi ward has over 40,230 voters participating in the election of National Assembly deputies and City People's Council deputies; of which 36,459 voters participated in the election of ward People's Council deputies.
More than 3,400 voters at Election Unit No. 2 - Election Zone No. 7 conducted voting to elect National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
