At the Center, General Secretary To Lam and the working delegation listened to Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong - Director of the National Data Center, Ministry of Public Security - summarize the construction process and initial results of the National Data Center.

Accordingly, the National Data Center was established and officially launched on February 25, 2025.

This is an important breakthrough, giving Vietnam for the first time a specialized unit under the Ministry of Public Security to perform the function of State management and coordination of data. The center is identified as playing a key role, as the "brain" and "heart" of the national digital transformation process.

At the meeting, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Cuong proposed and proposed to the General Secretary and the working delegation to assign the National Data Center to focus on researching and mastering core, sovereign technologies, including cloud computing, national block chains, data floors, artificial intelligence, etc., to be deployed on the national data platform, ensuring efficiency, safety and sustainability.

Assign the National Data Center to urgently form and develop a data economy; at the same time, build a National Data Incubator and a National Data Adventure Investment Fund, create motivation to attract social resources, promote innovation, start-ups and effectively exploit the value of national data.

Urgently deploy National Data Center No. 2 and No. 3 to ensure infrastructure for digital transformation and national artificial intelligence in accordance with the set roadmap.

Resolutely direct ministries, branches, localities, and units under the political system to urgently build and deploy the National Database, specialized databases, and connect and synchronize data to the National Data Center.

Urgently complete the functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure and operation of the National Data Center in the direction of being an agency performing the function of State management of data, professional work of the Public Security, crime prevention, protection of important national databases, ensuring security, data sovereignty, and at the same time serving socio-economic development.
