General Secretary To Lam attends the 75th anniversary of the first issue of Nhan Dan Newspaper

The 75th anniversary of the first issue was solemnly held at the Ho Guom Theater. This is an opportunity for generations of journalists of Nhan Dan Newspaper to look back at the past journey, reminding of milestones and deep memories in their career journey.

Nhan Dan Newspaper issued its first issue on March 11, 1951. During the resistance wars and wars to protect the Fatherland, many officials and reporters of the newspaper were directly present on the fierce battlefields to reflect the fighting spirit of the army and people. Many of them sacrificed, becoming journalists - martyrs.

With important contributions throughout the country's development process, Nhan Dan Newspaper has been awarded many noble awards by the Party and State, including the Golden Star Order, two Ho Chi Minh Orders and the titles of Labor Hero of the Doi Moi period, Hero of the People's Armed Forces...

Over 75 years of development, from a print newspaper with an initial editorial scale, Nhan Dan Newspaper has expanded into a multi-platform press agency with many publications and communication products. Besides Nhan Dan Daily Newspaper, there are also periodicals such as Nhan Dan Weekend, Nhan Dan Monthly, Thoi Nay and supplements for six economic regions.

Nhan Dan e-newspaper currently has six foreign language versions, contributing to providing information about Vietnam to a large number of international friends. Many programs, events and media products organized by the newspaper have received the attention of the public at home and abroad, contributing to promoting innovation in the field of journalism and media.

Recognizing outstanding achievements in propaganda, orienting public opinion and contributing to protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam decided to award the First-class Labor Medal to Nhan Dan Newspaper.

The award given on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the first issue is a meaningful milestone for generations of journalists of the newspaper, adding motivation to continue to carry out the mission of a revolutionary writer, maintaining the spirit of "sharp pen, pure heart, bright mind", bringing the Party's newspaper closer to a wider readership.
