Average income per capita increased from 3,552 USD to about 5,000 USD, putting Vietnam in the group of countries with high average incomes.

Social security work and caring for people's lives have always been given top priority, achieving many practical results. During the term, 1.1 million billion VND was spent on social security, accounting for about 17% of total state budget expenditure. Over 334 thousand temporary and dilapidated houses have been eliminated, completing the target 5 years and 4 months ahead of schedule. Comprehensively and promptly deploy social security policies, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and quickly stabilize people's lives.

The fields of culture and society have made comprehensive progress. The quality of education and health care has been significantly improved, with the health insurance coverage rate reaching 95.2% of the population. The Human Development Index (HDI) increased by 18 ranks, reflecting the country's remarkable progress.

The Government has also directed to resolutely remove obstacles in drug procurement, bidding, and health insurance settlement.
