On the afternoon of August 2, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Central working delegation inspected the construction site of the Long Thanh airport project, in Long Thanh commune.
After checking the progress of the second runway construction package, the passenger terminal of Component Project 3 - Long Thanh Airport Project, the Prime Minister listened to reports and opinions from relevant agencies.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the Ministry of Construction and Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) for their implementation of many tasks, which have been basically completed after more than 3 months since the previous inspection.
With the goal of determination to basically complete the project by December 19, 2025, inaugurate it according to regulations, and move towards commercial exploitation in early 2026, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, investors, contractors, consulting units, engineers, workers, and laborers who have tried and tried to do more, who have tried and tried more, who have been determined and determined to do more, focus on fully and seriously implementing the conclusions and instructions of the Prime Minister, and completing the work.

Deploying the railway line connecting Tan Son Nhat airport with Long Thanh airport
The Prime Minister assigned specific tasks, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee urgently researched and deployed a railway line connecting Tan Son Nhat airport with Long Thanh airport. ACV immediately deployed the construction of runway No. 3.
The Prime Minister also requested the investor to establish a food service area to take care of engineers and workers of construction units in the construction site in the spirit of service as the main concern.
Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh Airport) is a national key project with a total capital of about VND 109,000 billion in phase 1.
This is the 8th time Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has inspected this project, after the most recent time was on March 20, 2025.
