Prime Minister awards certificate of merit to Transport Hospital

On September 25, Transport Hospital Joint Stock Company (GTVT) held a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of its construction and development.

After a period of development, from the Railway Hospital I with 50 beds serving railway staff and train passengers, up to now, the Transport Hospital has a team of experienced staff and doctors including doctors, masters, and specialists at level I and II.

The hospital currently has a scale of 470 beds, providing high-quality medical services.

With the orientation of developing at the same level as the region, the hospital has strengthened cooperation with leading domestic medical facilities such as Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Vietnam Cardiovascular Institute, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital... and at the same time strengthened professional cooperation with experts from the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Korea...

After the equitization process, GTVT Hospital was converted into GTVT Hospital Joint Stock Company, with a charter capital in 2024 of VND 391 billion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Bui Sy Tuan Anh - Party Committee Secretary, General Director of the Hospital said that for many years, the Transport Hospital has always been at the forefront of the transport sector, having been ranked 1/30 of the hospitals with the best achievements in the country. The hospital masters many techniques from minor surgery to major surgery, and is trusted by patients. During the transition from public to equity, the hospital encountered difficulties in human resources and equipment, leading to accumulated losses.

Thanks to the efforts of the medical team and the support of the agencies, the hospital has overcome difficulties, becoming a prestigious address in Hanoi with 95% of patients satisfied.

In 2024, the hospital will end its loophole and have a breakthrough, aiming to become a leading general hospital with many spearhead specialties such as respiratory, infectious, Orthopedic trauma, urological kidney - blood filtration, synthetic surgery, anesthesia and resuscitation...

The hospital is also one of the few units that the Ministry of Health allows to examine the health of people working abroad, and is highly appreciated by international partners...

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Transport Hospital in medical examination and treatment. Transport Hospital is one of the first public hospitals in the country to implement equitization. Despite many initial difficulties, it has now proven to be the right direction. He suggested that the hospital and SCIC continue to evaluate the model, especially when implementing Resolutions 68 and 72, as well as Directive 25 on improving the quality of grassroots health care.

Recognizing the contributions of the collective of doctors, staff, and staff, the Prime Minister awarded a certificate of merit to GTVT Hospital Joint Stock Company for the technique of dialysis through the skin and through flexible pipes.
