An Giang - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the visitation ceremony, memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains at Doc Ba Dac Martyrs' Cemetery.

On the morning of July 21, at the Doc Ba Dac Martyrs' Cemetery, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the armed forces of An Giang province solemnly held a visitation ceremony, a memorial service and burial ceremony for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the war in Cambodia and in the country in 2025.

Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai; leaders of central ministries and branches; Military Region 9 Command; provincial departments, branches and sectors, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, relatives of heroes, martyrs' families and religious dignitaries attending the ceremony.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates respectfully offered incense and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the merits of the heroic martyrs.

From 2001 to present, with the tireless efforts of the forces, especially the K93 Team - the officers and soldiers of the Team have overcome countless difficulties, searched for and collected 2,141 martyrs' remains in Cambodia; of which 251 remains have been identified.

In the XXIV period (the dry season of 2024 - 2025) alone, 42 searches were organized, 56 martyrs' remains were collected (in Cambodia there are 51 remains, in the country there are 5 remains; the identities of 2 remains have been identified).

Along with receiving 25 martyrs' remains searched and collected by Team K90/Military Region 9 in Cambodia, this memorial service has 81 martyrs' remains, of which 80 remains are buried; 1 remains is received by relatives and welcomed back to the hometown for burial.

At the ceremony, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai read a letter expressing his deep affection, commemorating and saying goodbye to the nation's outstanding children, the heroic martyrs who did not spare their blood and bones, sacrificing their whole lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people and to fulfill their noble international mission and duty.

The province will continue to care for families who are still suffering from the pain of loss, continue to maintain the peace that they have exchanged for blood and bones. Continue to nurture the noble ideal of living for today's young generation so that the An Giang youth class can be proud, grateful, and live worthy of the sacrifices of many previous generations.
